Santiago, Dominican Republic

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail.  God has been working in our family, writing the story He wants us to lead.  During our 15 years of ministry at Ethnos Bible Church in Richardson, we’ve learned to accept people from different nations, different languages, and different cultures. We’ve come to know that loving people and pointing them to God is vital, and teaching them to look to the Lord in all things and in all situations.  Little did we know He was preparing us for something he had for us in the future!
We began to pray and desire for opportunities to make disciples of the people around us, as well as teach our children at home to love and seek Him.

In Feb. 2019, The Lord opened a door of opportunity for us to come to Dominican Republic to work at a Christian school.   The staff works firsthand in influencing, teaching, and discipling students, answering any questions they have about the Lord and about life. Not all students who come to this school know the Lord.  Just because they come to this Christian school doesn’t mean these kids come from Christian homes. Many are affluent in physical riches, but are often times neglected at home.  Most kids are raised by nannies because the parents are too busy working or traveling.  These kids have a hunger for love and attention.  What better way to lead them to the one who has everlasting love!

We left our home in Dallas, TX to pursue what God has in store for us. He called us to step out in faith, leading Felix to do the position he had done at Dallas Theological Seminary.   Being a Library Media Specialist in Santiago Christian School is providing a salary, but they only provide a base pay that accommodates the individual teacher.  Those with families who work for the school typically raise support for the rest of the finances needed to live here in this country.  Here’s how you can support us:

-Be a part of our prayer team!  Living life in a new country is not easy, and working with this population of kids is also very challenging.  Please help us by committing to be in prayer for us on a regular basis.
-Be a financial supporter!  We are in need of $800 in monthly support to meet all of our financial needs as a family of 4.  Please pray about supporting us through the link on the right.   Your gift is tax deductible, and 100% (minus any PayPal fees) goes directly to help supporting us.

Thank you all for your love for our family!  We feel truly blessed to have you all in our lives.
