Who we are
City On A Hill (COAH) Missions is a disciple-making movement focused on helping everyday believers live on mission in their local context. Our heart is to see disciples making disciples and simple, reproducible expressions of church multiplying in every place God sends His people.
We currently serve in the Dominican Republic, working among both Dominican and Haitian communities. Through house churches, job training initiatives, and relational ministry, we seek to share the gospel, make disciples, and equip others to do the same.
We are committed to listening to the voice of Jesus and responding in obedience, trusting that He is already at work in the places He calls us to serve.

OUr Story
2003 - 2012 - Foundations
City On A Hill (COAH) Connection was started in 2003 by seminary students in Fort Worth, Texas as a network of churches partnering together to impact the city. Over the next six years, COAH saw churches birthed among Cuban, Bhutanese, and other refugee communities in Fort Worth, as well as in workplaces. In 2010, COAH began sending its first missionaries to serve in multiple countries around the world.
2012 - 2018 - Expansion
In 2012, COAH Connection transitioned into COAH Missions. COAH Missions sought to equip and provide opportunities for followers of Christ to connect with one another and live on mission together, both locally and internationally. We believe that every follower of Jesus is called to make disciples, especially within their local context. During this time, we sent Family Mission Teams to Cusco, Peru and Leticia, Colombia, and served as a sending agency supporting missionaries in Ecuador and Peru. Locally, we spent years engaging the homeless community in Fort Worth. We launched Miracle Messages DFW, helping reconnect individuals experiencing homelessness with their families. We also sent teams of high school students to serve by hosting activities, providing water and snacks, and offering a listening ear.
2018 - Present - Dominican Republic
In 2018, Adam Clay and Diana Clay, the last founding couple of COAH Connection still in the United States, were called to the Dominican Republic. COAH Missions transitioned once again, focusing on making disciples among both Dominican and Haitian communities. As of 2026, COAH Missions has helped plant a network of house churches, launched job training initiatives within the Haitian refugee community, and provided a connection point for missionary families serving throughout the Dominican Republic.

Our Core Values
1. Every follower of Christ is called to:
2. We follow the leading of Jesus.
Jesus said in John 5:19 that He only did what He saw the Father doing. In the same way, we seek to live with that same dependence. Rather than being driven by a fixed ministry model or strategy, we prioritize listening to the voice of Jesus and responding in obedience.
This means we value sensitivity to the Holy Spirit over systems, obedience over outcomes, and faithfulness over metrics. We believe mission flows out of relationship with God, not just activity for Him.
3. We embrace the full expression of the Body of Christ (APEST).
We believe Jesus gifts His Church through apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers as described in Ephesians 4. These are not titles used to elevate individuals, but functions that equip every believer toward maturity and mission. As these roles are expressed in healthy and non-hierarchical ways, the Church becomes more complete, more effective, and more aligned with God’s design.
4. We pursue simple, reproducible expressions of church.
We value forms of church that can multiply, meeting in homes, workplaces, and everyday spaces. Our desire is not to build centralized gatherings, but to see disciples making disciples and churches planting churches in ways that are sustainable and accessible in any context.
5. We live on mission together
We believe mission is not an event but a lifestyle. Whether locally or globally, we seek to live with intentionality, loving people, sharing the gospel, and making disciples in the natural rhythms of life. We are committed to going to those who may not otherwise encounter Jesus, including marginalized and unreached communities.
- Love God
- Love Others
- Make Disciples
